Temporarily Closing Registrations - Dealing with Spam

I've had to temporarily turn off new registrations as the spam problem is ridiculous. I've opened a ticket with vbulletin asking for some more support as this is a cloud hosted service by them now.

There will be a mass deletion of all spam posts soon - again a feature that vbulletin decided to turn off in their wisdom.

Hopefully we'll be back up and running soon. Apologies for the inconvenience.

not really... if it's an automatic, then me going "why didn't you bump start it" doesn't make sense. But if it's a manual, well, there you go.

**** no it isn't an autotragic.

as for the bump start... kinda hard when its wet and on a flat ground. Luckie I was just shy of home so I got jumped and gimp the car home. I guess tomorrow I will be swaping alt belts.

charge the battery on a 1.5-2 amp charger overnight.

To me it's almost easier (and more controlled) to bump start a car on a flat surface than it is on a hill... I fail to see the problem. It's a car that weighs 2200-2300 lbs at most and rolls really easily... Once you fixed the belt you should have been right as rain (har har har)

A small incline just makes it easier. The rear tires don't have the best wet traction to bump start either. Yea I got the battery on a chafer and tomorrow it will be cake.

I still loved roll starting my old r6 in rain LOL

I've never had a problem using 2nd gear. You don't need a ton of grip for it to work.

I don't know I seem to have stupid issues with roll starting cars when it is wet. Now bikes... man I can roll start them anyday any weather.

Eitherway I got home and have a new belt in the trunk to be replaced once the summer rises, and hopefully dries off.

Oh what fun it is to roll start a car... even more fun when you have to do it in reverse! When I was having electrical problems with my green car, I forgot to reconnect harness to the alt. and started driving home from work... on just my battery. I didn't realize this until my headlights got dim and my radio turned off... and I was sitting in the middle os stopped traffic on Buford Hwy. I was able to get off into a parking lot and figure out my problem...and have to roll start my car.

I had to do this when the alt. on my MR2 died on me, right in front of Starship in Jonesboro. What a crappy place to die on me.
