  • Post Up Y0 Cell Phones...

    What are you all using?

I've been using some generic LG Verizon phone for almost three years now. It won't break. I have even bought extras for spares LOL. It's been in a pool, in a oil bucket, fell off the roof of my car driving, thrown, etc. Never a problem with it. lol.

I'm using a Verizon LG VX9800. Been using the same model since May '05. Replaced once with a spare a week ago when it finally gave up vibrating or making/receiving calls, all I could do is text. I've salvaged others for parts, batteries, etc. Not too bad for a 4 year old phone that I abuse on a constant basis.
I really like this phone and don't really like the new stuff that's out now. If Verizon had the iPhone, I might get it, but at the same time, I like being able to text without looking at the phone, which this phone excels at letting me do.

^lol Sounds like me. I like some new phones but know it'd be broken in a week. I don't want to worry about what's in my pocket.

running with a 3g iphone. Overall I love the phone.

        Two things I dislike.

        1) lack of easy picture messages... come on that is a stupid software issue, I am still not sure why At&t or Mac haven't fixed that

        2) the touch keyboard is nice, but it do suck sometime cause I can just type via feeling anymore, and I wish I could turn the to the side and have the wider keyboard in other moods then just the internet.

Otherwise the phone is great. Had for about 3 months now, give or take.

1st gen iphone and I absolutely love it. Asides from missing the tactile keyboard and easy picture messaging it's brilliant.

The modding potential is what I like most about it :D

I'm with those two, I'm also using the iPhone 3G. Never loved a phone more than I do this thing! I do wish picture messaging was easier than it is, you can get them but it's like a link to a webpage where you need a password and login name from the message itself.

I had no idea I would like this phone as much as I do. I didn't want one for ages then took ahold of my brothers old one for free and I'm love with it.

I have a Blackberry Bold. I like it a lot but the phone volume is not fabulous... plus.. I may have to get rid of it for something that will work better with our mail server at work. I'm going to look at the iPhone and the Moto Q but I'm really worried about the iPhone's international capabilities. I need it to work all the time, even overseas and I've heard the iPhone is a nightmare for international data roaming.

Same here jack, when it came out I wanted it really bad then I saw sprint had the instinct and I messed with that and didn't like it then I finally switched to AT&T and figured I might as well get the iphone. As a matter a fact I'm on it right now!

From experience, it's been fine overseas, well England specifically and you can turn off the location services to limit data roaming to being your own course of actions.

Yeah, but then it will only pick up e-mail in wi-fi zones. I need to to work all of the time as long as I have cell service. I might give it a try though. I'll talk to my coworkers who have them.

Well wouldn't email under any phone count as data usage? You could just select your mail box when you feel like using the date and get them all at once rather than constantly using it for the latest emails.
