Miata Killer: VW BlueSport

First time I've been excited by a new car. Don't get me wrong, I'd take an AMG Black, but here I'm specifically meaning a car that I might actually be able to afford and own myself. And I'm pretty shocked that it's a VW. :lol:

VW BlueSport. 2.0 turbo diesel, mid-engine, 180hp, 260tq at 1750 rpm, 6 spd, 0-60 in 6.2, 55mpg, and 2600 lbs. Looks good so far!

Its doubtful they will make this car but if they do it will be too expensive for a freakin VW.

God-awful top & body color combo - great lines, though - like N3v said, very close to MR2 of early 2000's from the side but with a hint of S2000 in the nose area... and the wheels, well they remind me of the Hot Wheels I had as a youth.

Meh, It looks OK by what I can see. They need to offer it with more than a diesel engine. It looks rather Sky-like to me.

and kurt, vws are expensive because as far as interior goes, they rival bmws. and the new vws arent unreliable at all.

The motors will last but they're known for some pretty silly electrical problems. Unless they changed something in the past 3 or 4 years.

the last big problem they had was the mk4 1.8t and 2.0 cars would go through ignition coils like crazy, but they fixed that problem with a redesigned coil pack. the older cars are the worst, i think the only thing that can match those things is my e30 :(
