  • odd noise @ 4000rpm's

This is annoying the piss out of me. Whenever my needle hits 4000rpms, Im getting this odd "sshhhhh" noise. The only way to describe it is like a sizzle/ putting water on a hot skillet or stove. It doesn't matter if Im accelerating, decelerating, shifting, it always does this.

OMG simon with a non humorous answer
                  im honored
yeh, my 1st guess was exhaust leak- but not only @ 4000rpms, it would be across the board.
vacuum leak would surely produce a CEL, im assuming?
it did in the swedish stallion

wrong about the exhaust leak happening across the board. my car has an exhaust leak, and it literally sounds like a turbo spool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjWwz_Ivneg

you have time. I did my clutch and didnt do the pilot so i had to do it again but my pilot was bad and i rode on it for 6 months or so, but it was alot worse than that.
