If I can get some decent tires before the next event, I hope to make it out. Need to figure out my class, it's been years since I have autocrossed...

It was a great day. Weather was perfect and the course was challenging. The finish was a little funky, but added to the challenge.

The cross-over was a b---h, and I just couldn't come to grips with the finish, but it was a perfect day and great fun!

The previous owner had M&S rated tires on stock 14" rims. It's like being on ice skates when I drive even moderately aggressively. I am going to be picking up a free set of stock 15" rims shortly, hoping they have even worn but decent tires on them.

I see it as a great excuse to burn up some crummy tires. :P

We will be doing a lot more of them given the confines of the site. Bryan Carbon and Rick Cone are designing our courses this year and both will be revealing some pretty cool courses. A couple will be very different than what we have historically done.

                        .
I don't want to be the newbie blowing up all the cones every run. :)

haha, not to worry you'll fit right in with of us! Although I am having to be extra careful to not hit cones this year because the cones will win against that car.

That's expected of n00bs. It's when you've been doing this 10 years and still blowing up half the course on every run that you start to question yourself... *sigh*
(I made setup changes to the car. The changes work great, but now turning in where I'm used to is too early, so I'm hitting with the inside rear tire. Doesn't make me any less annoyed when every run says "+1" after it)

Autox is great place to learn how to push the limits with minimal risk and maximum fun. I still kill cones like a newbie and throw in a spin for the highlight reel!
