Temporarily Closing Registrations - Dealing with Spam

I've had to temporarily turn off new registrations as the spam problem is ridiculous. I've opened a ticket with vbulletin asking for some more support as this is a cloud hosted service by them now.

There will be a mass deletion of all spam posts soon - again a feature that vbulletin decided to turn off in their wisdom.

Hopefully we'll be back up and running soon. Apologies for the inconvenience.

What do you expect from a american-born "motorsport"? NASCAR is beyond boring. I do agree that the track layout was kinda boring, but standing near the fence on the front straight when the cars were zooming by 8ft away at 160+ mph was pretty damn cool. Not many tracks allow you to do this as a general spectator.

True. Yeah I think the banking aspect is kind of cool for these cars, but the infield is just .............. lol

              Nice pics Jenn- very nice!

If that track is boring, you ain't driving fast enough. ;)

So anybody notice the teeth shattering transitions from concrete asphalt in the work zones on 75N in south-ish GA? It was like hitting a speed bump at 80mph!

Were you walking, running or driving a golf cart? ... oh wait, you're talking about watching it on tv.

I bet both the Koni and Rolex front runners would argue it wasn't so boring. They both had sensational battles up to the very end. If only the Koni race didn't finish under yellow.

I would say that driving on the oval at 130+ isn't very exciting, but driving in as deep as you can stand into T1 and the bus stop is a true thrill.

I've driven it. I personally thought it was boring, deep braking zones are fun when you have competition, but in general it's just a really dull track. But I can't really stand any "rovals"

#40 RX8 after its first incident. They ended up replacing the front end and control arms. That's Charles Espenlaub in the jeans and Mazdaspeed fleece, Patrick Dempsey to the right with hand on chin. Unfortunately they were the only Mazda not to finish.

                      Obligatory ferris wheel shot ;)

Did you get to meet McDreamy? Thanks for the proof that Dempsey was there. My wife, a huge Greys Anatomy fan, didn't believe me that he was racing.

He's been racing for a while, and I have met him, and didn't know he was even an actor until they mentioned it at the race. LOLOL.

Same with Paul Newman when I was younger, until my dad told me he was an actor.

No. He went on the GRM tour that Friday. I did get to meet a lot of other GT drivers though. I racef with a lot of these guys way back in Motorola Cup. Charles was driving with a friend of mine that had 3 firebirds- but I knew him before that from the original Speedvision Cup when he was running the Protomotive Miatas. The guy has truly worked his way up the pro racing ladder. When I first met him, he was driving the tow vehicle to each race and help with the car maintenance in trade for a racing seat. No special help from corporations here, he just did a good job and hooked up with the right guys. Saini was there with the Dempsey too- but not driving, spotting. Poor guy was freezing his *** off up on giant pole...ugh.
