Temporarily Closing Registrations - Dealing with Spam
I've had to temporarily turn off new registrations as the spam problem is ridiculous. I've opened a ticket with vbulletin asking for some more support as this is a cloud hosted service by them now.
There will be a mass deletion of all spam posts soon - again a feature that vbulletin decided to turn off in their wisdom.
Hopefully we'll be back up and running soon. Apologies for the inconvenience.

IMO, mild steel is not a good idea as it rusts as soon as it's exposed to water and oxygen and there is no rust-proof coating on the market for it. There is or was a guy on miataturbo.net that made stainless steel ones and sold them for ~$100. Two of those kits were installed at this past tech day.In The Garage:

Why can't you weld the stainless to the car?

Aluminum? My frame rails are mild steel... like the rest of the car. I picked up a set of stainless from the miataturbo gb ($107 delivered) and was seriously considering welding them in given my driver's side rail is partially destroyed. It would definitely be stronger than bolting them in.
We're talking about the same thing- right?

Ok gentlemen,Ive worked out a deal with my job ,if you want a set of frame rails I need a general idea as to how many to make.leave a reply post here.I will be making a set for my car and will post pictures of the install, then when i know they are going to fit I will take formal orders.I will know how much they will be after I get an idea how many to be made The first ones will be steel($75-$85) and then One material for the rest(stainless?).I think this will be a great opprotunity to use my connections to help out,and remember the more there are the cheaper they will beI make Stuff....shiny,Metal Stuff.
