There are 2 rubber bushings at the top hat, one goes over and one goes under. I have all the pieces, but can't distinguish in the parts diagram which bushing is which.
One bushing is uniform on top and bottom. The other bushing is flat on the bottom and a little conical on the top. The conical side is embossed with "UP".
Trial and error fitting leads me to believe that the bushing with the conical side goes under the top hat, with the UP side facing up obviously. Then the other bushing goes over the top hat and under the upper washer.
Basically I have (top to bottom)
Nut
Top Washer
Bushing symmetric about horizontal axis
top hat
Non symmetric bushing with conical side facing up
Bottom Washer/Part that hits the bump stop
Can anyone confirm which bushing goes over and which goes under the top hat.
The rear bump stops fit SNUG over the shock shaft. Should I put a little lube of some sort on there to prevent any possible squeaking, or should I leave it dry to not attract any dirt on the shock shaft.
Also it appears that all 4 assemblies use the same small parts-hats, bushings, washers, spring perches. Of course the shocks and springs are different, and I have longer bump stops for the rear.
