  • Front lips

When I read about the different sorts, people tend to be very pervasive about how much of an effect they have. They talking rubbish or have you too, noticed any effect with your own lips?

My little DIY one didn't do much asides from protect my bumper and look cool.

    RE: Front lips

Never driven my car at over 100mph without the lip, so not sure. I know SM's gain some performance with the factory lip.

I think the consensus is minor improvement at track speed with oem front lip.

Jacks DYI lip looks great, but i dont think it adds any to the performance side. Its prob 100 percent cosmetic.

              RE: Front lips

Haha, hey now. I noticed a real difference with my Garage Vary lip. It liked to wander at freeway speeds before and the lip really eliminated it.

And I'm not making that up, I'll admit I bought it solely because it looked good, but it turned out to really be functional. I mean it's not going to create any measurable downforce, but it certainly reduces lift just by reducing airflow under the car.

Ya good point tommy, i thought about that a little bit too. For a car as light as the miata's i guess reducing the airflow under the car will make a difference.

Highly doubt that, autox speed are from 10-50 mph MAX. When miatas are reaching 50 mph they are right back down in seconds so i really dont see the car picking up that much speed in that little of time.

Nah it wasn't until at least 70 that you notice the difference in plantedness.

I just ordered this one for the wife.

We'll see how much of a difference there is at high(er) speeds.
