  • Draining problems

was just gonna add it to my ebrake thread but i didnt know if ya'll liked keeping different subjects to different threads

My trunk is covered in moisture whenever it rains and everything is wet. I'm pretty sure its getting a good seal aound the edges, but i can push on the lid and it does move a little bit

i've been told cleaning out my drain for the top could be related and it is holding water. Anyone have any pointers??

Sorry for all the questions! It's my First Miata :)

    RE: Draining problems

Typically if you have moisture in the trunk that is a rain rail problem.
Either the rail is full of leaves and debris causing it to overflow, OR it is cracked...which is common.
It would pay also to check the drains. Drains are located just behind the doors, if you reach in the corner areas when top is up you can feel them. There are rubber nipples underneath the car where they drain.

      RE: Draining problems

There's a neat little brush that's sold to get crap out of those drains. I have one and it works great!

Look here, it even shows where those pesky drain holes are: http://www.teammiata.com/mall/TM400.aspx
