  • What size wheels

What size wheels do you think these are? I'm looking to do the flares with similar wheels.
What offset would they need to be also?

    RE: What size wheels

After looking around a bit, it looks like those are modular Panasports. And considering they only come in 13" and 16" diameters, I think we can take a guess at what dia. the ones in the picture are. They must cost a bloody fortune.

The 13"s can be had up to 10" wide and the 16"s can be gotten in a 12". :jawdrop:

Is it just me or do the ones in the picture look staggered?

Stock Miata offset is 45mm. Vary from that by much and it gets really twitchy under braking. The Chapparals on mine are 38mm and even that makes a noticable difference in composure. I'd like to drive one with zero offset wheels on it to see how bad it is.

That is quite possibly the sickest Miata I have ever seen.

I have SportMax 15x8 002 +0. Came with the car, but the it handles just fine. No twitchiness or anything.

That is Chris Lee's Miata (he's pretty well known in the Miata circle). The outside appearance of that car has been my muse for a long time, my car will soon be sporting the N2 flares, but with different wheels. The engine on Lee's car is something to see too.

You're right on the Panasports. C8 3-piece wheels, sized 16x9 in the front and 16x10 in the rear, both +0 offset. 225/45 Yokohama ES100 up front and 245/45 Yoko AVS Sports on the rear.

Funny thing, I forgot that he's also using Tein coilovers and solid FM front sway bar, which I just bought. lol

            Engine:

Notice the car got an extraction hood after the turbo kit:

never will understand why you get such a wide wheel, and slap a narrow tire on it, heck i was using 245's on a 8" and a 275 on a 9.5" on my old s10

I agree, the tyres should be wider.

Maybe more tire won't fit. Lol.

Pretty nasty stance. One of the most evil Miatas I've seen.

well since he drifts it, the stretch actually makes it a little easier to slide. the sidewall becomes SUPER stiff and makes it very responsive but very unforgiving, allowing it to break loose easier.

plus it looks cooler. lol

Look into the 15x9 6ULs www.949racing.com. Those are functional.

If you insist on a near zero offset with the same type eight spoke minilite design
go with Rota RB's in a 15x8 w +4 offset. For about 1/5 of the price of those Panas
you can achieve a similar look.

The modular Panas are very nice however it never made sense to me to put wheels on
my car that cost more then the whole car.
