  • Cold air intake with isolation box

Has anyone got one with an isolation box? I was looking at Goodwin's cold air intake, but looks like there is no box to close off the end from under hood air. A lot advertise cold air intake, but in reality they just suck in hot, underhood air. Can you get a properly build isolation box to increase performance?

    Thanks,

Your best bet will be to DIY it for that .001 HP boost.

The only ones I've seen on Miatas have been home brewed. I don't believe there's one that insulates the intake from the factory.

However, I will say that most put the intake right by the exhaust, which seems like a poor place for it. Maybe DIY a shorty cold-side intake, and run a Turn Signal Intake duct to it. That's what I have on the race car.

Jackie, the CAI's for the NC are basically pointless. Save your money.
