  • Look too rough?

    Found this euro limited slip with the 3.727 ratio. It’s tempting because it’s $650 delivered vs the $2k puddy diff (which would be much better and 3.63). But I’d be pissed to throw away $650, then still buy the built one.

    Seller says its a 55k diff in perfect shape. Surface rust because of salt. I’m confident I could blast off the rust in my cabinet and repaint. But....


    Thoughts?

    I know nothing about pricing, but it's amazing what I've been able to do with restoring parts that I import from Europe, especially diffs and squaretops...so this should be no different...

            Diff came and the exterior looked worse than the pics- lots of deep rust. The inside looked like brand new. I went at it with lots of coats of naval jelly, and various wire wheels on my grinder... here she is prior to paint:
