I have a 99 Miata. Runs drives fine.
I have a chance to pick up a 1.8 94-97 motor. Engine runs, needs to be rebuilt.
Can I put it in my 99 if I ever needed to put it into service?
Any big problems, or a no/go...
    Thanks for the help.

The short block will physical bolt in. has less CR and camshaft spec than 99+. Would probably have to transfer the intake cam gear and valve cover to support the cam sensor. Would function but as MiataStuff said, probably not worth the effort in most cases.
