I purchased an OEM valve cover gasket from the dealership today and he told me, due to the thickness of the gasket you are not required to silicone the round bits. Can anyone with experience using the OEM gasket varify this claim? I have always used the silicone in my previous leaky non-OEM installs, but this time around I thought I would pay the $51.

Always RTV the corners at the cam caps (6 spots total). OEM gasket or not, it's in the FSM.
