  • Removing And reinstalling front bumper

How long do you think it should take to remove and reinstall the front bumper on my NB? (for body kit fitment purposes)

taking old bumper off = 10 minutes
installing new glass bumper = 5 minutes

The "hard" part on the stock bumper is getting to all of the clips along the bottom between the bumper and the air-guide, then there are the pesky clips that hold the splash shield to the bumper in the wheelwells...as they get gunked up with dirt/sand and can be a PITA to get out.

Taking the bumper off is really easy. Like Mike had mentioned, you'll spend a few minutes taking off the million clips located on the bottom of the bumper.

The air dam clips took me for ages to remove. Ended up breaking a couple of them. So if you find yourself taking longer than 10 minutes don't worry. Those small things can make you take forever.

What clips are you all speaking of? I only have 3 bolts up top and zip ties on the corners lol, for easy removal and when I hit something it doesn't break stuff.

lol similar to me, but instead of those zip ties i still have the screws.

but its not a lengthy process at all.

We're talking about all the little plastic clips from the air damn in the mouth, which become brittle over time and don't function like they should do.

well it does not seem like the front bumper fits very well at all. It looks like the front of the frame is in the way. Do you think i'm doing anything wrong?

i believe i know what he is talking about, they are like 2 lil point things sticking out and 4 bolts on each one, if so yes.

                              diagram of bumper

i found a diagram of the bumper. The Green arrow is pointing to the piece that you said to remove (i removed it). The red arrow are pointing to the metal pieces that seem to be part of the frame. The two pointy things did not have any bolts that i could tell. maybe they are on the other side of the frame?
