Temporarily Closing Registrations - Dealing with Spam

I've had to temporarily turn off new registrations as the spam problem is ridiculous. I've opened a ticket with vbulletin asking for some more support as this is a cloud hosted service by them now.

There will be a mass deletion of all spam posts soon - again a feature that vbulletin decided to turn off in their wisdom.

Hopefully we'll be back up and running soon. Apologies for the inconvenience.

  • 91 Turbo Miata, ~75K miles

I'm going to be selling my car. This was not planned, but something came up.

The car is a 91. It was a base car with A/C. It is one of the lucky cars to get A/C but not get power steering. Steering response is excellent. The body, 1.6 longnose motor, and trans are all original with ~75,xxx miles. It has been turbocharged since ~45,xxx miles. Turbo system began as a Greddy kit, but all that is left from the original Greddy system is the manifold, mitsu 15g turbo, and oil feed line. Everything else has been upgraded, from a Spearco front mount intercooler, to the TurboTony downpipe, tunertoys oil drain kit, t-bolt clamps, etc etc. I have the original parts (sans downpipe) and they are all included with the car. It's also running a Flyin Miata ACT 1.8 clutch. I had an OEM flywheel lightened at a local machine shop.

Engine management is a MSPNP, the very first to come off the DIY Autotune production line actually. Car has been professionally tuned by Scott Seigel and Jerry Hoffman on a dynapack load dyno. The MS is running the newest HiRez firmware. EGO is accomplished by an Innovate LC1 wideband, which is included. The sensor is properly located at the tail edge of the downpipe. I paid something like $60 extra to have a custom dual 4-bar MAP sensor fitted in the PNP. This sensor is good for more boost than a miata motor will ever make AND has built in barometric correction. The PNP has also been modified at DIY Autotune for linear TPS and extra grounding. The MS is also set up to run electronic boost control.

Fueling the car is a Walbro 190lph HP fuel pump and RC Engineering 440 cc/min injectors. It also has a DIY dual feed fuel rail. Ignition is a custom Coil On Plug set up. I currently have plug gaps at .050" without misfire. The original ignition setup will be included with the car, if for some reason you wanted to run it again. :wtf:

In the car's current tune, it's good for ~27 mpg in daily mixed driving, 255whp, and 230 wtq. It's been (well over) 30 mpg in highway only trips. *premium fuel only* of course.

The engine and trans are stock, but the rear end has been upgraded with a hybrid 1.8 miata/RX7 diff. Final drive ratio is 4.08:1 and has a clutch type LSD from an RX7. The driveshaft and axles are 1.8 miata. I installed Mazda Comp bushings in the diff.

I installed a Griffen aluminum radiator with Griffen 1.7 bar cap just a few months ago. ($600+) I also installed an NB lower radiator hose. The cooling system is otherwise stock. The Griffen rad keeps temps very stable. I put a brand new OEM thermostat in last night.

Body has a couple little dings, which were there when I bought it. The car comes with the original hood as well as an aftermarket extraction hood. The windshield has 2 rock chips on the passenger side. They are not really visible to the driver. There was 1 when I bought the car. The 2nd occurred literally while I was en-route to a glass shop to get the windshield replaced when a dumptruck kicked up some gravel at me. I took that as an omen and did not replace the windshield. The soft top is an original type aftermarket and only a couple years old. Top is in great condition.

I have Hella E-codes installed with ebay HID lamps. I also have DRL type lamps built into the front turnsignals. The turn indicators were relocated to the outside of the lenses. There is a scrubby looking (but good sounding and functional) Pioneer Premier cd unit in the dash, very good Pioneer speakers in the doors, and an Alpine amp in the trunk.

I have used only synthetic oil since I purchased the car. Engine oil has been Mobil1. The rear is running Royal Purple. Red line in the trans.

If I get my asking price, I will include all the extra/spare parts I have, every stock part I've taken off the car, and the other aftermarket parts I've not yet installed. Some of the items included are an extra 15g turbo that I was going to send to GPOP shop to be rebuilt with a super60 compressor wheel and ported out.
A new 15g turbo rebuild kit from GPOP.
    Webcams 505/505+2 camshafts ($500+ new).
Tien SS coil overs ($1000+ new)
    FM Sway Bars
    R package front lip
tunertoys large bore dual input fuel rail
2 Mazda top boots (one is missing a snap)
    Mazda front bra
Plus whatever else I have in the garage.

I have the stock intake parts and exhaust manifold so the car could be brought back to N/A.
I also have tons of extra parts like another center console, an a/c compressor, original hood, extra aluminum diff housing, etc etc, really a couple boxes FULL of stuff. I'm not kidding. I have a mountain of parts to go with the car.

The car will NOT come with a hardtop and will NOT come with my 6UL wheels. I am going to aquire some sort of later model miata wheels to include with the sale. The Enthuza exhaust that is currently on the car also will not be included, as I'm just borrowing it from Enthuza. (it doesn't belong to me) I have a very nice looking and sounding dual exhaust with magnaflow hi flow cat that will go back on.

Car is currently tagged, registered, insured, as is street legal.

I'm looking for $6500 for the car. And again, if I get my asking price, I'll include all the spares/extras mentioned. This is a very fast car, and not for a new driver. Call me a 404.819.7098 to check it out.

    Ben

I don't "have" to. This is a good situation. :)

Wow man, completely unexpected! If you want to part with that extraction hood, I still want it. :)
            Good luck with the sale!

Thank ya man. Yeah, totally unplanned. If the purchaser does not wish the hood, we can work something out between us.

OK well I put this ad up in anticipation of buying a turbo 99 this weekend. I was the 2nd person to respond to the ad, and the 1st person snapped it up today.

So, my 91 turbo is no longer for sale.
