My first trailer was a Hooper. Local builder, good quality at a good price. That and my current one have wood runners, great if you need to use the trailer as a lift at the track to pull a tranny. Not good when you go to pick up the Exocet chassis. Then you need pallets to fill the void. But you don't worry about scratching the tread plate. Just buy some new PT 2X12's every 5 years or so.David Luney - Suwanee GA

Actually found a solid steel deck carrier with ramps and a dovetail for a great price tonight. Successfully transacted over Craigslist without being mugged, shot or raped.sigpic
