I've used this system on my 2000 Miata since 2013, for 33k miles at 10.5-12 psi. Finally got bored and decided to learn MegaSquirt. I've done plenty of autox, track days and daily driving and it has NEVER given me any issues at all.
This system includes an AEM FIC/6 with de-pinned OE AEM harness for a 99-00 Miata, FIC instructions and the version of software I'm running making it plug and play. It also includes four genuine denso (not re-manufactured) RX8 yellow injectors I purchased new. This is a piggyback system that is simple to set up and can safely control fueling and spark for supercharged and turbocharged cars. I actually ran my MP45 supercharger setup with this AEM before swapping to the Flyin Miata no-electronics kit (injectors added with this install 1/13). Add an AEM uego air/fuel meter, a boost gauge, a boost controller and you are ready to go faster.
Advantages of this system are factory drive-ability outside of boost, and a simple tuning process. About as much boost as FM recommends for long term life of your engine, 10-11 psi. No fuss from season to season and dual maps for separate tunes.
Disadvantages of this system are that you don't get the last ten tenths of performance in boost. There are few in any professional tuners in this area who know this system.
I'll sell the AEM FIC/6 with 99-00 harness, FIC Instructions with software and tunes, and the injectors for $475 shipped and insured.
Injectors alone for $120 shipped.
AEM FIC/6 with AEM OE harness, software and tunes for $375 shipped.
You are welcome to PM me with any questions. I ran this till yesterday. I actually installed Flow Force 640cc injectors today and started the car on the FIC/6 with no issues at all. It is a very flexible system.
