Ok, I know this has nothing to do with Miata's except that it is a sports car, but..........I am selling my X to fund another Austin Mini that will be here any day (for Alec, I already have one). Some of you have seen it - it is a 1980 with 62,000 miles, 1500 engine and 5 speed tranny. Now how often do you find a 28 year old car with that low miles? It is clean and solid, all the bugs have been worked out. In the last seven months I have rebuilt all the brake calipers and replaced the rotors and pads, replaced the water pump and heater control valve, of course given it a proper tune-up and changed the oil, refilled the tranny with Redline synthetic (this is good stuff regardless of what you may have read elsewhere here, it really does make a difference), and installed a new OEM carburetor. The interior is clean, no tears in the seats, no cracks in the dash, everything works. The body is solid. I have three sets of wheels and tires plus two more new rear tires. And I'll even throw in a spare 1300cc engine to play with. If you have ever yearned for a 308 Ferrari but could not afford one this is a good place to start - some of the interior parts are interchangeable, the engine was designed by the same person, and if you learn to work on this then you will be ready to work on the 308 when the need arises. Call 770-378-4619, no calls after 9pm.

My brother used to have a '77 that I got to drive a few times. It seems like whenever I got behind the seat, however, it just so happened that something was already inevitably wrong with it - like shifter/clutch not 100% operational - or it wouldn't idle when stopped, etc... never got to fully experience its joy. Good memories, though :)
If I win the lottery tonight, I'll be giving you a call.
