94-97 Fuel Pump Relay

Does anybody have one to sell? I sent Kurt/Metalman an email and am waiting to see if he has one that will work.

A new one is only $80, but I'm still not 100% that this is the problem so I hate to throw more money than I need to at it by buying a brand new one.

So here is something that sucks - the Jim Ellis Mazda in Marietta won't just order parts for you that they don't have. Instead, they want you to come in, pre-pay, then come back and pick it up when it arrives (after they already suck for not having the part in the first place).

Is there any reason at all to ever buy something from them if they don't have it on the shelf versus ordering from Trussville or Medcenter or something? I've ordered from Medcenter, used regular shipping, and gotten the parts within 2 days!

Okay, I took my own post off-topic. Back to the issue at hand: whose got a fuel relay?!?

What's happening with the car?
I do not have a fuel pump relay (just to be on topic, lol).

I use Rosenthal Mazda (www.finishlineperformance.com) and have always had good results and they have great prices.

No fuel! It's acting the same as it did the night we completed the install (aka it's being a little *****), but of course this time the harness is plugged in :) .

Here's a little more detail:
- Checked for 12V at the fuel pump: no dice
- Applied 12V directly to fuel pump: it works
- Jumped the FP and GND in the diagnostic block: fuel pump works
- No "click" from the fuel pump relay at key on, or when plugging the relay in while the key is on
- Did the test on the relay described in the Rod's manual (apply power/gnd to A/B terminals, test for continuity on the other two). I got continuity, but I'm still not convinced it's not the relay.

Yeah, that definitely does sound like the relay. Good luck man. If Kurt doesn't have one, you are more than welcome to borrow mine to troubleshoot.

Argggg...now I'm thinking the relay is okay. I took it apart and put 12v to it - it opened and closed fine. What else could prevent the relay from getting power? I don't think it's a problem with the ECU - neither the stock ECU or the Link activate the relay.

You have a shop manual with a schematic?

I have the Rod's enthusiasts manual which has some basic wiring diagrams, but not the full schematic for the car.
