Default no trigger signal on 1 & 4

ok me again I'm stuck on this, I was connecting my timing light to check my base timing & when I connected the inductive pickup to the trigger wire on my #1 coil the engine began to misfire , I removed the pickup ,but it still has the misfire... looked at the tooth logger on TS seems to be fine....no loose wiring I'm hoping this is were Ben says I need to re-load the firmware....

Man, sounds like too much of a coincidence that you lost spark on #1 cylinder when you hooked up the clamp on #1 coil. Sounds like a wiring issue to me. Do you has scope? If so, you can scope the trigger wire(s). You should see a square wave to nearly 5V with a low duty cycle. I don't see the inductive clamp damaging hardware in any way.

You have spark on 2/3 right? So you have a tach signal coming to the MegaSquirt. I'd keep hunting for a wiring issue. You need a scope to check the trigger wire for signal, but could use a DMM to check for continuity from the coil back to the ECU.

FWIW, the tooth logger shows you the amount of time between reading teeth on the trigger wheel. Unevenly spaced teeth will present as higher and lower bars on the graph (more or less time between teeth).

just checked all the wires a second time, it has continuity between the ecu and coils none between the wires on the coil themselves.voltage, grounds everything checks out....

Any chance the plug wires themselves are damaged?
