Looking good, Sean! Guess I need to order some Ohlins so I'm not the tallest NC at the meet!

Ha! Lots of less expensive ways to maintain ride quality and lower the car a bit but if your happy no worries!

Pulled the intake, oil pan and balancer off the 2.5 last might and installed the Massive block off kit. Dragging my feet slightly on pulling the 2.0 because the weather has been so nice! I know once I start i’ll Lose the car for a month or so. Seems like December would be a better time!

I have a couple of NC 2.0 cores if that would help.

Thx David. I really just need to pull my 2.0 and take off the accessories. The intake, and oil pan, thermostat housing valve cover, oil filter housing and a few other bits get moved over. Having another would be a huge luxury for sure but not worth the $$.
Do need the seat brackets though!

Been working on the swap. Spent some time porting the lower intake manifold to match the 2.5 head. Everything is swapped over and the radiator is pulled. Tomorrow I’ll swap the fuel pump tomorrow and then I’m just waiting for parts... should have the clutch, flywheel, radiator, tap and bit for the oil return, catch can and a few other things by the end of the week. Will be using the Innovate sgc-1 for a wideband and boost control. Maybe I’ll be able to install the engine next weekend and then it’s off to Jason for exhaust.

Couldn’t get the engine in from the top so I dropp dbthe subframe. As a plus I was able to mount up the trans 1st and was able to really clean the whole assembly.

New clutch, flywheel, pilot and throw out bearing. Vibrant catch can with Radium banjo fittings. One line goes to a Radium PCV plate with all 5/8” hose, the other to an enlarged breather on the cam cover.

Still need to finish mounting the trans, IC, and SCG-1. Also need to install the fuel pump and exhaust.

Sean builds the coolest cars. How soon will this be up for sale? Got an Exocet to unload first...

Oh, sure. It’s done! Mostly. The engine is in, started instantly. Had R-speed adjust the clutch and bleed the slave. Feels great. Have not driven it yet just because I’m waiting for the exhaust which is supposed to be shipped Thursday. 3” all the way- and v-band. Was going to use Enthuza but just don’t feel like he really wanted to do it so I ordered the one from Fab9. All Stainless, high flow cat. Bryan uses oval 3” tubing in some places to support clearances.

So... got the exhaust installed (and it’s pretty) and took her for the 1st ride. Everything was working perfectly and I got into a bit of boost.... then she died and would only crank for a second before stalling. Major symptoms of a significant air leak.

Got it the car home and started looking. Pulled the bumper off and checked the plumbing. All good. I suspected the plug in the manifold that had been used for the crank vent tube but there was no way to see it with the manifold installed... off goes the hood, strut brace, cowl, access panel and eventually the manifold. I was almost right. The plug was there but the map sensor was not! Little gem somehow popped off. Crazy bc I just unplugged it and wired in a new GM sensor. The 1/2” hole in the manifold definitely qualified as a significant air leak!

So so now that I pulled the manifold I decided to go whole hog and pickup a custom intake manifold. It’s similar to the MotoEast unit except it has CNC trumpets, better welds and the TB is at the correct angle. It’s an experimental design so that’s about all I can say except that it will flow much better than the stock manifold while also making for a cleaner install/ engine bay.

So, I’m back to waiting for parts. Good news is that the car ran great prior to the air leak and should be an absolute beast.

Exciting! Can’t wait to see it on the track (or at least in person).
