I am actually the one that bought his spot in the track day. From what I was told/heard he sold his BMW roadster and would not have the Miata ready in time for the event. There could be a lot more to this that I am missing though.

Sorry I missed this event. I had a business trip come up suddenly and had to bow out. Hope I didn't leave the instructors overbooked. That used to be my blue miata in those videos, the new owner certainly knows how to use it.

Glad to be back in the South. Hope to compare my skills sharpened on the West Coast at the next event!

Should I be worried about this? Ran off the track and bottomed at in the bottom side of my car. Finally got around to jacking the car up and really looking to see if any bad damage was done while installing Nick's old trailer hitch.

With the intermittent rain I really didn't get a chance to mess with it too much. Hopefully get another chance before my next track day.

On a side not, got this installed today to solve my trailer problem!

re: your rail - I agree. Just try to straighten it some. I don't think there's any harm, though.

This is indeed how I will be traveling down to little tally. My little truck just can't handle towing the Miata very safely/easily. This seemed like my best option. Got to drive around with the setup today after I installed it and it seemed to do really well.

Nope. Those rails are really very soft. If you are worried about them, cap them with rails. Use a 3# hammer to "reshape" them. You will be surprised how easy that is.

That's good to hear. Hopefully with the long weekend coming up I will get a chance to "reshape" them. Will be going through the whole car next weekend to get everything ready for Little Tally!
