Default on the way to The Mitty on Friday...

Stopped on the drive from Chattanooga to Road Atlanta at a pull-off for some quick shots with a colorful background. Had fun on 19 south from Blairsville, 180 (Wolf Pen Gap) and 60 back to meet up with 19 again. Would make a nice loop too. #twisties

David, the car looks great! I'm so glad to see it is being taken care of.

Those are some great roads! Whenever you see people say, "Let's do a mountain run," this is typically where they're going. Others refer to is as The Snake or a Snake Run.

My phone got an update, so I figured I'd play around with the exposure time. Ended up getting this neat shot.

Latest silliness as I attempt to prototype some aero.

Starting to be closer to Lace's Morgan than an Exocet.

If rules are no object concern, I think taking your cue from Heikki's Locost is much more the direction you'd want to take. IMO and all that...

    That's pure awesome (and ugly!).

After some testing it looks like a spoiler won't do as much good as I'd hoped.

Your car was my inspiration but the air air doesn't seem to re-attach to the trunk lid behind the seats.

With that short / narrow body work I'm not surprised.

Ive got a fiberglass spoiler at the house you can have. It could use some end plates, but other than that it's fine.

    Chasing the Dragon XI

Rolled it off the trailer, set a new Personal Best, broke the class record 3 different times, in the end smashed it by ~2.8 seconds from what it was prior to this weekend, had a celebratory beer and rolled it onto the trailer. F**king epic weekend

Ended up 8th overall, but not bad for a junkyard naturally aspirated 4-banger. Always nice to get on the leaderboard regardless. There was a period during the rain at the start of the event where I was 2nd overall behind the Focus RS

I'm impressed! Nicely done - bet that beer tasted good. What does your car weight nowadays? I'm sure you know precisely now that you've got scales!

Right? But yeah, that's not going to happen any time soon. Turobos are cool, but they're not free, and neither are the parts that break behind them. Eventually that would be fun, but the budget (time or $$) just isn't there right now. What I will do at some point, is max the car out for my autox class. High compression, lightweight everything, cams, etc. I'm still running a junkyard VVT motor.

But seriously, in hill climb trim (ie: minus 100# of ballast I need to be legal for my autox class) it's around 1860 depending on fuel level.

I figured you had all the time in the world

Still not sure how you have found the time you have, to do all the race and fab work with your twins. You guys give me hope as my little ones get older I can wedge out a little more time for race events.
