Post up your favorite wheel setups on a Miata, and what wheels they are if you know. I personally have an insane love for RPF1's.

Yes you can post as many as you want not choosing your ultimate fav. wheel

Well, I do really like my NT03s..so I have that covered.

I wouldn't mind some BBS LMs in dsk

BBS LM's are the hottest wheels ever, but like he said, I have yet to see them on a Miata, not sure if they would even look good on a Miata without some huge flares and other cosmetic mods lol.

Unfortunatly they only make them in 17x7.5 +40 in the 4x100 bolt pattern. Now, I could just have BBS Motorsport make me some custom wheels...

I still kick myself in the *** for not ordering a set of LMs for myself when I worked there, I could have gotten the set for $1150 NEW!!!! ****.

I didn't think that John didn't work there anymore. I spoke to Mike over there back in July and the LM (LM158 DSPK) was still available in 4x100.

They also have the RG-F, RGR, RF-V among others.....

Good luck trying to find a set in those specs. I have looked up and down the internet to find a set used but no luck; mainly in Takata Green. I know someone within Mackin Industries (Volk distributor for America) and they said Volk is willing to make TE's to any size/spec but I'd have to order a minimum of 10 sets. What am I going to do with 10 sets of the same wheels and I doubt anyone is really willing to spend $2k+ on a set of wheels like me. :D

As for the concave TEs, you can get the Rota Grid in a 16x8 +10 offset and they look just like that.

Painting rockers works on some cars, not so well on others.
It depends on the styling cues used overall.
I am not a huge fan of it generally as there is NO way I am running a painted front lip.
To be honest, satin black around the bottom makes everything much easier to
care for.

Yes they do. Thats why I dont follow them. ;)
I prefer wheels, the design of which has been highly successful for more then 40 years.
They looked cool then...and they look cool now...and will tomorrow. :D
I guess you could say theyre the Led Zeppelin or Aerosmith of wheels. hehe...
Well, thats my opinion anyway.

Which is why I like the whole idea to build a car for you and f**k what others think. Its your car and you have to live with it, day in and day out.

Also sometimes you want something new that will become the next Led Zeppelin but from this time period.

It has to do with the offset. i know that there is/was a bunch of 16x8 et10or 20 rota grids. I am not sure if they were custom order batch or if someone carries them normally but yea.

That red coupe was my fav. 240 EVER, still it, soooo sexy. Had a CA18 in it. Makes me want another 240.

the only thing i dont really like about mikes white car is the bumper. it just doesnt flow with the car and the huge fog lights throw everything off.

Yeah, Bomex has a similar bumper that doesn't have the foglight holes and does not have the raised section in the middle of the bottom of the bumper....I would probably have liked that bumper better, but it wasn't in stock when I ordered.

I think it goes with the lines of the Miata a little better.

And here is the same one I had with sideskirts to complete the look,

it does look alot better with the side skirts. im just not a fan of the foglight holes and the center section, like you pointed out. i think the best body mods for a miata are a r package of GV lip, king rat rear valence, and the little deck lid spoiler thingie.

I like the GV lip, but there are just sooo many people with them..and I think it makes the front look like a spoon and a bit narrow. I like how the Bomex bumper fills out on the sides to cover up the drag created by the wheels sticking out on the stock bumper (one of the reasons I like the GV on my NB,,and how much better flow the intercooler gets). While the rear lips look nice, they produvce TONS of drag...i'd like to see one with some sort of rear diffuser though.

Sometimes function does not follow form, sometimes people prefer form over function.

I tell you what though, those foglights came in handy a few times when I was hauling *** and passed a cop and had to kill the main lights

i agree on the GV lip thing. it reminds me of a snow plow lol. i think r package lips and gv lips are perfect though. the racing beat kit looks really good as well.

I had the RBII bumper for awhile, but it got pretty beat up and I decided to go for the more aggressive bumper later.

And guys, don't take it as an argument that I think the Bomex was like the greatest thing since sliced bread, but just giving my views on why I got it and how it worked for me. There are cars with more simple treatments, like Eric's and Derrick's, look fantastic. Just trying to give insight as to why some people get the more aggressive/different products :) God knows what that car would look like today if I still had it.

Your car really did go through some changes. Some pictures I love it and others I think it looks unbalanced and a bit ugly. I think the variety of aftermarket bumpers for the NA just plain sucked, I prefer the look of stock with a lip.

With the NB's it's a different matter, I think your car looks brilliant at the moment.

Every time I see a Miata with the RB front bumper, I want one more and more.
Can't figure out which I would like more with my flares, keep the stock with R-lip, or the RB bumper.

BTW... there are some very nice 16" AT Italia wheels over on IA for sale for cheap $250. They look like Prodrive wheels...

They look classy. Exceptional deal. I really don't like the look of 16's on the NA unfortunately.

I want some JLine 10SL2s
But they're custom order wheels (like CCW). They come in anything from 15x7 to 15x10..and for donkers like me..17s. Also, you can get them in ANY color you want.. from polished, to chrome to flat paints, metallics and even chrome/anodized colors.
