I ran across this thread on S2Ki yesterday and am very pissed off even though this wasn't done to my car. I would seriously KILL someone if I were to catch someone doing this to my car or anyone else's for that matter!

Looks like Aircraft Stripper Gel uber nasty stuff that turns just about any sort of paint into jello. Likely went all the way to the bare metal.

Someone once egged my car (and several others at once). I proceeded to force them to run off the road in their SVT Contour and total the living sh!t out of it.. the car was twisted and bent into a u-shape. I also didn't stop when they wrecked. I did drive back by to see what a good job I did...

That's not a good retaliation. Better would it have been to throw on the flashers and chase their asses down within a sane, reasonable limit. Not 10/10ths (Because lets face it, most people are such inexperienced drivers that you could catch them at about half your own capacity) and proceed to pursue until the cops are involved. It's vandalism.

Well, I forced them to exceeed their own driving abilities...not car-to-car contact or anything like that. I decided to stop short and they couldn't stop behind me and proceeded to use the shoulder to its full extent :lol:

Contact or not. In the state of Georgia, you're at fault for that accident. And you drove off. I'm not trying to start something, I'm just voicing my opinion that it was wrong.

Meh. I don't see it as my fault when I didn't provoke anyone to drive aggressively behind me, they did it on their own. Eggs went flying, I went looking for who did it by driving to the road near where we were parked, a suspicous vehicle slowly drove past me and pulled a fast u-turn to get behind me, I took off, they followed suit, and when I crested a hill and decided to slow down, they came flying up behind me and went off on the right shoulder. Mind you this was like 6 yrs ago and the eggings had happened several times to a group of us who were minding our own buisness. They never happened again after that night. The kids driving the car were OK and told the cops they were trying to mis a dog or something (so I found out awhile later).

Unfortunatly I have a lovely 7" circle if fine spiderweb-like cracks in my fresh pearl paint and several other people had egg spots on their cars and one person had one land in their car.

QFT. everyone has done some stupid stuff like this before. maybe not to the extent of the thread in the OP, but i KNOW everyone has done dumb stuff like that for kicks. doesnt make it right, but it does make it wrong for endangering someones life trying to seek your revenge.

I showed up late that night but was there when some shot paint balls into the parking lot. Luckie no ones cars got hit cause it was after most people left.

Absolutely true. You are supposed to keep a safe following distance no matter what. If the person in front of you slams on their brakes to avoid another car, an animal or nothing, you still have to stop. If you don't, that's your fault. This is why read endings are 99.999999999999% the fault of the person in the rear. Believe me, Mike got rear ended last year because a car cut across two lanes and cut off everyone to make a turn. Car #1 stopped, Mike stopped and the guy behind him was following too close and didn't stop in time. The guy in the back was deemed at fault. The cop had no interest at all in the car that cut them off because they should have all been at proper following distances in order to stop, even if the person that cut them off was a total asshat for doing it and clearly broke the law. BTW, it went to court and the judge agreed. It is your responsibility to follow at a correct distance so you can stop no matter what the car in front of you does.

Not that it's a nice thing to do nor do I agree with what was done it in any way. We all do dumb stuff when we're young and I doubt many people on here can say they've never break checked someone who was following far too close.

But anyway.....the original post is really messed up. I would kill if someone did that to my car. It's amazingly trashy and disrespectful to destroy someone else's car like that. What cowards.

Likewise, at university i make sure to park my car out of the way of anyone possible during gamedays.
