View Full Version : Request: Miata's with 3 Spokes

I got prompted by another thread and started thinking about 3 spokes, and a particular type in general but my memory let me down and I can't remember what they are.
Has anyone got any pictures of Miata's on 3 spokes? Interested to see how they look.

3-spoke steering wheel or 3-spoke wheels?

Jack, unfortunatly you are about 10 months too late, but I had a set of Mazdaspeed MS-03 (by RAYS) up for sale. They are a 3-spoke wheel that looks a lot like the Super Advan...but have more coolness to them..partly because they have "MAZDASPEED" stamped into them. They come in two sizes 15x6.5 and 15x7... I had the 15x7 and painted them black (they all come in silver).
I'm sure Steve can find the pics of them and post them up for me (from the sale thread on IA).

^^ Yup, here you go Jack. I would have taken these off Mike's hands if I saw the thread earlier.

Your not the only person. I was pissed when he sold both the 6ul and the MS-03, cause I had just bought a set of rims and would have rather had either of those sets.

Thanks Steve.

Were did they end up anyway? I still think there is another set locally as I remember someone on myspace back in the day had a set. I don't know what ever happen to the set, but I do remember there was two set in Atlanta that I knew of, yours and his.

They look good, definitely would have made an attempt to buy those puppies!
I've found myself really liking 3 spoked wheels recently.

Mine went off to CA... guy still has them. The other set belonged to a guy in Cumming and was willing to sell them when I asked him...but it was quite sometime ago.

What sort of price region were these in? The pretty expensive but worth it, or the utterly expensive and over the top?

I sold my set for $600 + shipping, I bought them 2yrs before for $700. Sometimes they pop up on rbmotoring.com in the wheels section. There was also another guy on ClubRoadster that was selling a set of refurbished 15x6.5 MS-03s for a bit more... but they look brand new.

**** $600 pick up sounds like it would have got me moving
rbmotoring? is that a good place for used wheels? I've never bought any aftermarket wheels before, nearly always some sort of OEM wheel, starting to scout the market for a while.

I've never heard anything bad of RBMotoring if that helps any.

yeah, RBMotoring is a good place for used over-seas market wheels....very upfront with condition and pictures. Heck, they'll even refinish a set if you'd like as well as re-drill wheel to your bolt pattern (if applicable).
I've been scouting CL in other cities for wheels and have come across some cool stuff... like some weird set of 16" BBS wheels for $150 and they looked to be in pretty good condition. Look like all they need is a good clean up....

RB Motoring sold me a set of wheels that definitely didnt meet their description or the questions I asked. They were usable but not as described...so be careful, ask for LOTS of detailed pics.

Those are interesting, I bet they would look quite nice clean and painted up.
There's a set in my head which I'm imagining which are probably 5 spoke and in the 5 spoke variation look semi-similar to this:
but are bronze

I was wondering where the wheels from Garnet went.
Since when were 15" wheels "Dub edition" size?
btw.... My NT03+M wheels might be disappearing soon......

Unfortunatly, there are TONS of wheels that look similar. Maybe thinking of the GramLights?

They are 16's, but I thought the post said 17's. Either way too big for me.

Oh, I didn't realize you were referring to the BBSs, I thought you were referring to the MS-03s being "dub"

I think I like the Volk TE37's. Those Gram Lights might be what I was thinking of. Come to think of it, I think they're a wheel I've seen on Subaru's more so than Miata and that bolt pattern would explain it.

I think they may be them. And do you know what the said part is??
I helped line up Mitch (flameproofcandle) with a set of those for his last car! :lmao:
I'm not sure that I was thinking of Zigens though the mental shape is very similar.
