I found a stray kitten on Saturday and have put up signs trying to find the owner, but with no such luck. I already have 2 cats and a dog so unfortunately I don't have the space for another kitty.

It's a female, about 5 months old (?), VERY sweet. She likes to sleep in my bed at night.

She was very thin when I found her, but has since gained some weight and is now looking very healthy.

Please pass the word along to your friends as I cannot keep her much longer due to the city cracking down on people having more than 3 pets within city limits. :(

On to the pictures! I'll keep adding more as I take them.

Thanks Drew.
I love this kitty, she's soooo sweet. I really wish I had the room for her. :(

Cute cat! If my girlfriend and I didn't already get a kitten last year I'd love to have her. I hope you find her a good home!

Some more pics!

Sitting on top of clean clothes, like any good kitty would:

No more than 3 pets within city limits? What kind of bull crap?

I bet there is no law against the number of ankle biters you can have...

There is a 3 pet limit in my town -- I also have a couple strays that have adopted me - at first it was one a couple weeks ago and I noticed its sibling coming around eating food I put out a few days ago.

My mom likes her. How did she react to your other cats? That's all she's worried about.

I keep her in my room and I haven't really had her around my other cats that much because my cats are declawed and she is not. I just don't want anything to happen when I'm not looking.

I have had held her while my cats are in the same room and she gets pretty scared. But that's how my second cat was when we first brought him home and now he's fine.

I'll try socializing them more and see if she calms down a little bit and I'll let you know!

Yeah, let me know. My mom has two cats and one is very friendly to others and one is just indifferent. Has she been to the vet or in the car? I would have to take her for a 3 hour ride to get to my mom. I'd like to meet the cat though. I'd take her to the vet as well. If she checks out good and can stand the ride, my mom would like to have her.

She rode in the car from my house to hers and seemed to do very well.

Cool. Maybe I can come meet her this weekend. I can give you guys some goodies from my trip.

That sounds good.
I know LB was talking about taking her to the vet earlier today but not sure if she had the time to. From when we first saw her and from what I saw of her last night, there is a big difference in health it seems. :)

These cook up really nicely with garlic & mushrooms...or even spam and pineapple. Just ask Jzilla for the recipe.

I kid, I kid. :D I am not a cat person at all but that one looks cute. Black cats are always the coolest. Add a splash of white and even cooler. I have four godam Yorkies though so no more pets of ANY kind for me...let alone a cat.

She does fine in the car, meows a lot, but cats usually do.

I had my sister bring one of my cats (the most dominant one) into my room for an experiment to see how she did. At first we held the cats separately and just let them sniff each other and they did fine. Then we let them down and just watched how they did. My cat went up and sniffed her and she did really well! She was very cautious at first, but after a couple minutes she rolled over and took a nap!

This is infinitely better than the first day I brought her home, so I'm very confident that she will do fine with other cats. She just might need a couple days to get used to them.

And that's completely fine with me if you want to come over and meet her. We can grab dinner or something after.

Here's some pictures from the encounter:
She loves my Hankook bag. I can throw that in to sweeten the deal!

Forgot to update this. Jenn took her to her mom's place in South Carolina last weekend. Thanks Jenn, I hope your mom loves her! :)

I discovered this past weekend that I'm allergic to the feline species... :o I feed them outside now and not inside the house.

I hope she doesn't shred the apartment's carpet to pieces just because she wants to drink from the toilet!

Miss Lucie is doing great so far. She sleeps on the bed every night and runs all over the house. My mom has floor to ceiling windows on the first floor of her house and Lucie runs from one room to the other, looking out and watching birds. She has to get the best view all of the time.

She's not making friends with the other cat yet but mom is working on it. Slowly socializing them.

Update. She went to the vet yesterday to get some of her shots and she's closing in on 8 lbs. The vet says she's very healthy and happy and they think she's 8-12 months. She's growing like a weed.

She played at the vets office and enjoyed some tasty cheese treats.
