Damn. I'd snatch that up if it's in good shape and I wasn't building the engine.

Would be pretty nice to have a car that meets each mood of the day. Wake up and think, I'm in the mood for a supercharger. lol

I just noticed that in the picture on the left it's on a tow truck flatbed.

Someone want to go in with me, buy it, and part it out? :D

Riverdale...hmm...Ebay coilovers, K-1's that are too big, and a blower that probably needs a rebuild.

Still worth it for parts though. Location and pictures taken on a rollback would make me a little leery.

eBay coilovers ftw, I might put some on my car.

I wouldnt get too excited...that doesnt look like the deal of the century to me.
I have gotten a an NA with SC, hardtop, suspension, wheels, tires, header, exhaust, a new soft top, and alot more for less. ;)

Several of these low priced ads lately have been "scammish" too.

RotorNutFD3S

Kurt speaks the truth about the scams. However, if I see an NA with all that for less than say $1500, I'm on it. That is seriously one hell of a deal.

Did you guys catch the <$1000 "rare coupe" 94 that was listed the other day? I emailed the guy, but he did not respond.

HOLY ****! He upped the price! It was $2000 earlier!

Like I said..."scammish".
I dont do biz with scumbags that run CL 'auctions' and do price changes etc. ;)

RotorNutFD3S

Yeah. That's some BS.
Ben, that "rare" coupe sold for $800. I emailed him literally minutes after it was posted, and then got an email later the next day saying he sold it for asking price. Whatever.

The problem is just that....these kind of sellers are morons. And as such one should be prepared for all manner of unethical transactions and scumbaggery. I betcha your friend who got the car wasnt the first responder to that ad. ;) (although he may think he was) These types dont do business in any logical or ethical way. I usually avoid them....and for good reason. With a few exceptions they are a waste of time.

It was just a hardtop for some reason the guy thought it was a "coupe" because it didn't have the soft top lololol.

How? Dumb sellers = good for people who are smart. The guy said he was glad to get rid of it because his inbox filled up boom asap. When you buy good stuff from people who are smart you pay more. Car is just as described.

Your friend wasnt smart...he just lucked out...and won the lottery. For all the rest who RESPONDED BEFORE HIM it was a waste of time...and usually always is. Believe me, I have likely bought more 'steals' in my lifetime then anyone on this forum. Experience has taught me alot. ;)
To repeatedly score deals you dont waste your time with idiots...I can tell very quickly what kind of person I am dealing with now...although that wasnt true when I was 18. ;)

Dumb sellers WILL waste your time....more often then not. Even after making deals alot of times they will back out, change the price., etc etc etc...I have seen this all a million times.

The retard with the 2k SC'd Miata...a good example. ;)

I buy a LOT, and have had 10 eBay businesses since I was 15 lol. I def. know how to wheel and deal quite well, worse that can happen is you spend some gas to go look at a car and he tries to play around. Big deal? If the ad sounds like a moron that doesn't know what he HAS then it's sometimes a good deal, if it sounds like he's trying to make it MORE then he has or say it's rare, special, etc and you know better, why bother? How was it a waste of time for others to e-mail him? Sounds you are a bit jealous lol.

Not jealous at all. Just much more experience at this then you. No offense. ;)
I make my living this way...and have for years...so dont confuse a few deals or ebay bull**** with that. :)
I have never seen you buy much of anything Miata related to be honest. I have done thousands of Miata related transactions...multiple thousands. ;)
I have dealt in cars for 35 years...slightly longer then many here have been alive.

And make no mistake...your friend was LUCKY, not smart. I have been lucky many times myself.

I can tell you right now, many emailed within minutes. I have seen this over and over again.
Majority of time that will make no difference however...because its not about that...its all LUCK. :)

Its wasnt meant to be a slam...your experience is limited by your years of life.
When youre 50 you'll know what I mean.

You buy very few Miata items too...and the ones I buy from you I make $$ on. ;)

I do buy Miata parts lol. I know you obviously sell for more then bought for, I usually look for quick sales with stuff like that.
