And my buddy Kris got his hardtop today, we mocked-fitted it to the car since we have no FrankenBolts yet (but ordered some today). Looks like a mini-Viper from the front, and if you look from a front angle, it resembles the rear half of the FD RX7. :D

I had fully intended on going to it this morning but my son's tennis tournament match was at 9 and I had to warm him up at 8. Warm up being a relative term. It was friggin cold out there.
Winter has not officially begun yet but at this rate it is going to be a long one.

The nice thing about this meet is aside from the stuck up snobs, there are no dumbass ricers. Not that I've ever seen. We did have this one guy today in an older Toyota pickup with a V8 swap that was revving a few times, but the Ferrari 550 drowned him out.
And this BMW sounded so good!:

Check out the vids. Got some of the 550, definitely don't use crappy laptop speakers to listen.

Did you notice the handwritten "tag applied for" sign on the back of the Ferarri? Really makes me wonder what it's story is...

Yeah. Who knows. He drove it like he stole it if that's any indication. lol

All the pics, yet none of the ex-Nick Mason (yes, the Pink Floyd drummer) Jag race car car, the one that ran in the Pan America race. Have you no sense of history?
Thanks for posting the pics, and thanks for meeting me to pick up the top. Y'all should see the cars that show up when it is warmer outside!

It must suck when you roll in with your new, black GTR, hoping to get a lot of attention, only to realize that there are two black ones and a silver one already there.

We usually go every month but were at TGP yesterday instead. Those GTR's are just silly. They always line up in their little group of really boring colored cars that look exactly the same.

Yeah, the R34 got all the attention when it rolled up in all it's RHD glory.

I'm sorry that I didn't get any pics of that car. By the time I reached that row (still before the sun came up), my hand was already numb and I made a quick sprint to Panera to warm back up. By the time I made it back over that way, it was gone. :(
Thanks for coming to meet us with the top. It is exactly as nice as you said it was!

I know the guy that owns that car. He is an old Porsche buddy of mine named Chris.
He also has a very good looking black MGA roadster. That Jag is actually a replica that had a twin both purpose built for the Pan America. The other one was totaled on the race track if I remember correctly what Chris told me.
The car is all aluminum and very well built.

If that is the red viper i'm thinking of a black guy by the name of deon drives it and he lives in my neighborhood, he's really cool.

Yeah, I think I saw a black guy driving it. Never got to talk to him though. It's an SRT-10 model with a removable hardtop, it's not the true coupe.

Well, the cars seem to be a slightly higher standard than the gwinnett meets!

lol Yeah, instead of some punk ricer spouting something like, "I know this guy that has a Pantera, I'll see if he'll bring it next time," you actually see the car without the bullsh**. :)
