View Full Version : Possible mountain run sunday.
I may be going on a mountain run sunday. I'd be getting up to the Chevron at the end of 400 around 1 or 2. If anyone wants to meet there, lemme know. I'll know for sure tomorrow.

I'm out until spring. Car is out of commission for a while. Have fun up there. Cold pavement is not your friend.

I'd go but am waiting a couple more weeks, I love it when it's cold. No traffic at ALL.

Probably salt, it adds to the experience, teaches great car control. I love it.
True, but monetary issues make it where I can't go >_<

I know two guys that died in the last 2 years driving in the mountains. One of them I didn't know that well but the other I did and he was a good driver but had a truck cross the yellow line and had no chance.
I no longer do that stuff. For me the track is the only place to push it.
You guys be careful.

^Sorry to hear that.
I def. don't go 100% up there, and play safe. The track is the only place to go balls out.
Same here. I know where the limits of the car are and stay away from them on the street. I run about 6/10 up there and stay on my side of the road. I won't go fast if there is traffic or anything else. I need to do a track day >_<

Honestly, I feel the same way as you. I've hit a tree before, I've seen bikers fall off the mountains, and all sorts of other ****. Admittedly they're nice roads but I don't know if they're worth that risk. I normally end up going after being bullied

You see crosses marking the end for many but the one that got me was in a tree up about 10' and a very sharp ravine below.
