My buddy Sean apparently was bored last night and was sketching some cars when he decided to sketch my car. He did this completely from memory. I thought it looked pretty damn good. Got an intercooler filling the mouth and a super-wide wheel/tire setup. :D

What tires are you going to be running, 275-35/15?? lol
sketch looks pretty friggin cool!

(i still think that GV bumper with a mouth full of intercooler would be badassness)

lol At least that much. Maybe 15x12 rims too. (Speaking of which, Chris (kickinoutyo) on CR.net posted up with some 15x12s on his Miata.)

Yeah, I know. I like the gv bumper, but not on my car, if that makes any sense. lol

Unfortunatly, there isn't much in tire sizes between 225-45/15 and the 275's. Now, if you go with a 16, you can get 245-45/16 to fill out those fenders, but you might have to raise the car up considering they have a 24" diameter (the same diameter as the 215-40/17s I have on my car). If you want to get any idea if that diameter tire will fit, we can throw my 17" D2s on your car and check the clearances.

Thanks, but it's cool. I'm not planning on going with any supersize wheel/tire, that was just his drawing of it. I'll be sticking with the 15x8s for a while, and probably the same size whenever I get 6ULs instead of x9s.
I got the machine shop estimate last night, so some upgrades (head swap, wheels, body work) will be set back until after the first quarter of next year.

I'm personally not a fan of the 6UL's.

So the estimate is pretty costly I'm assuming?

Yeah, but pretty much dead on considering what's being done. Just had to take the head work off the list. I could afford to do it all at once, but at the same time, I don't want to dip to far into what I've saved just in case something goes wrong with the car or in life. I have a perfectly good head to use for now. So I'll either be boxing up the '99 head and storing it for later or I'll sell it since I have everything for a complete swap plus better valves. Still trying to figure out what I want to do.

I know they would, but the Kumho's I have are more than good enough for street/daily driving use and didn't cost that much. That's a big factor right now!

My God son, how many tires you got sitting around there?

RotorNutFD3S

Just 1 extra set. I took advantage of an offer Discount Tire had a while back, was $150 off a set of tires plus free shipping. I ordered 2 sets.

Ahhh. I need new tires for my D2s and I would like to swap out the tires on the Enkeis for something with more grip.. and maybe even a larger size.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing.

I'll see what else I can get him to draw. May give him a picture of your car Mike. :D

The TSi's def. make the car look "asian" like due to how squinty they are!

If THIS will sell T-shirts, I'm sure something similar can be done... (click to see Mazda shirt lineup - I bought from them a couple years ago).

Tell Sean "He numba 1" artist. Like it. When are the PTC/Newnoids going to get together for cold adult (burb!) beverages?

IDK, but it would be a great idea at some point.
I also forgot that you are in Newnan as well. I'm going to Caffeine and Octane on Sunday with my buddy Kris (has a white NB with tan top and gold wheels).

I used to draw a lot, usually during math class when I should have been paying attention to "important" things. Haven't in ages, but got inspired to again tonight. The result thus far...

The first one is more symmetrical than it looks in the picture, the camera angle distorts it. :p

I spent alot of time drawing in grade school, cars were a favorite subject, along with landscapes & buildings...and cartoons as well. My teachers were entirely too lenient as I had pretty much finished the 8th grade by 5th grade, they just let me read & draw for a couple years.

Ultimately in HS I was known for drawing crazy caricatures of the teachers and faculty, drawing illustrations for the yearbook, designing yearbook covers etc...and being one of the geeks who designed decorations and painted backdrops for proms/banquets etc. While in HS I took up printing, offset press, letter press, camera/darkroom as a way to express my 'graphic' ideas as well. My first job after HS was as a manager of a print shop. One of my HS GF's was the daughter of the art teacher so I spent alot of time "studying art"
I have also played with silk screening (antique methods) and making T shirts for a rock band from the artwork thru the printing and done the artwork for professionally printed shirts.

I 'invented' a medium for use with woodburned 'crafty' art. I paint them with shoe polish.
I like doing seascapes, landscapes, snow scenes etc...the stuff old ladies like haha....BUT I havent done any in quite a few years. A number of the wifes coworkers and others have purchased such artwork from me...and the snow scenes really sell easily at Xmas time.
My wife complains bitterly to this day that all my artwork is displayed only in other peoples
homes, and there is none in ours....well that and the fact I lost an oil painting I did for her. I guess its time to take Jenn's advice (another thread)and buy some cologne. Maybe that will help me. hahaha

That's a good drawing Tommy. Can you paint me like in the titanic?

Good story Kurt, had no idea there were so many drawers on here. My mum recently started silk screening and now pretty much everyone in the family is getting a nice silk scarf for Christmas.
