How many people have rolled a car in their past? How was the experience?

Why, you planning on rolling one?

I rolled a VW Beetle many years ago end over end believe it or not. It was sort of freaky but my buddy and I didn't get hurt.

Yes, I have indeed done the thing that turtles also do on occasion. It was a terrain condition on the side of the road that managed to induce a rollover. I had a 4-point Schroth harness that was properly installed and worn along with a Hard Dog Hard Core single diagonal bar. The bar had barely a scratch on it after 2 or 3 rolls at 55mph. Although I was trapped in the car because of the way I landed in a dotch, I walked away without even a scratch/bruise/cut.

That's intense. I dread to think what happens to the poor buggers without a roll bar. They better hope they're not wearing a seatbelt and get flung out.

I guess I should by a roll bar now.

It's a slim chance you'd ever actually roll the car though. But it also makes the chassis of the car so much stiffer and the car will fill more stable... and it takey the 'cuteness' away.

rant- i hate seeing people that try to label a style bar as a roll bar or roll cage..... idiots.

I completely agree. That bothers me too.

True story....I pulled a style bar off a car I bought a few yrs ago and offered it on ebay.
It brought just over $300...PLUS shipping.

Ok..to be somewhat fair it was a KGWorks unit...but still, its the same **** you can get from OBX or any Ebay brand. Just goes to show how stupid the JDM - Road&Ster idiots can be. ;)

I did a back flip in a Mazda B3000 truck. Lost the back end on a dirt road, hit a dirt bank and flipped. Landed on the roof. I walked away with out getting hurt at all.

I flipped an Acura Legend also. I took a curve at 70 and slid off the pavement onto the grass bank and down in a deep ditch. Again, walked away with out a scratch.

Exactly. Lol, although, over a year and no flips(knocks on wood) Havent had a ticket in 6 months or any kind of accident in over a year. So my driving has become much better

remind me not to ride in a car with most of you.

Mike... I still look towards that rock/area everytime I drive that on-ramp. I also look for my markings on the wall on the other on-ramp.

Deborah did. She was broadsided on the connector by a run-away 16 yr old in a 240 Volvo. Injuries included several broken teeth, a misaligned jaw, some sort of inner ear injury that would randomly make her dizzy at times, cuts and scrapes to the forhead, top of head, and hands (about 20 stitches and 20 suchers), and a 6 month concussion. Sorry that the post accident pics are blurry; the camera got ****ed up in the wreck.

*warning* a couple of the pics below are a little graphic.

Never rolled a car, but I did pull a Dukes of Hazzard and jumped one. Took a corner too fast in my Mom's old 1996 Mercury Sable, the rear end came out, I fought it back, the rear end went out the other way, I fought it, ran out of road, fell into a ditch and hit a driveway that ramped me up into the air for a good fifteen or twenty feet. Came down so hard I bent the front of the car up and to the right, couldn't open the doors 'cause I'd tweaked the body so damn bad. Pretty sweet, really, wish I had a video camera.
