I enjoyed the OP's story so much that I decided to post my own. Perhaps this will turn into a nice journal for everyone's past, present, and future.

My history starts in '92-93 as a sophmore/junior in high school. I had my daily driver, but one day picked up a '78 Triumph Spitfire. I spent some afternoons and weekends learning all about this car and became quite friendly with Lucas, The Prince of Darkness....that bastard. :) Anyway, I became good friends with the father of a high school buddy of mine. He was unemployed and spent his time with me on the 'Spit, as we called it. I did a bit of a shadetree restoration and enjoyed that car for a number of years. During college, I just didn't have the time nor the space for the 'Spit, so I sold it.

I longed for another roadster for quite some time and soon got my hands on a '91 Miata B Pkg with 149k miles. Check this out: It had every service receipt back to 49k miles when the second owner purchased it. It was very well taken care of. I bought it and enjoyed it for a couple of years and a several thousand miles. Then, I decided it was more important for my then-fiance to have a space in the garage. I sold the car to a friend of mine in my hometown.

The marriage didn't work out and my love for the roadster resurfaced. You can never really lose your first true love, I suppose. So, I bought the car back after he owned it for 2 years. I drove it for another couple of years and then sold it. It was soon replaced by an '04 Titanium MSM. It was a great car, but I never really felt connected to it. I only owned that car for a few weeks. I traded it in on....

My current NC. This car suits me well. MS springs, sways, rear lip spoiler, exhaust (which is off right now), stripes, and soon wheels. Yep, this car is here to stay.

That's my story and I'm sssssstickin' to it. :)

As I said on miatia.net, I freaking LOVE the stripe job on your car!! I am focusing on other hobbies this year, but next year, I hope to put some money into my NC. Did you ever get an exhaust?

Yo! Thanks!! I'm really happy with the stripe job. Wheels and maybe something with the seats are next.

I have the Mazdaspeed exhaust, but am not convinced that it is the best for me. I was thinking Racing Beat, but just haven't made up my mind yet. Decisions decisions.

What makes you say that?

Well, it has some drone that I'm not too fond of. I love the tone and the volume is fine, too. But one it is really warmed up, the drone is just....well....annoying.

The tips stick out a bit too much. This is actually my second one. The first one, the tips were good, but not even. So, they replaced it under warranty. This one is a new version and they made them longer...perhaps for the appearance package. I may have them cut off and re-welded back on.

Your NC is definitely one of my favorites!
Too bad you didn't like the MSM! :(

Oh I liked the MSM, it just didn't click with me. I don't know what it was. I just didn't feel "at home" in it like I did with my NA.

Well, I found a few goods that I thought I'd post. The last one is with Chris' NB (Oblio on this forum). His NB is one of my favorites. I'll post more when the new wheels arrive.
