I have a 1.6 manual throttle body with a 1.8 variable TPS fitted via a custom waterjetted bracket. Throttle body is complete including idle control valve. An absolute steal at $55 cash picked up.

No. Unless you have an ECU that can utilize a variable TPS.
The stock ECU doesnt...unless your car is an automatic.
The Link ECU for 1.6 wont work with this either.

+1 you need a programmable PCM... MS is just the most common, however if you run any respectible PCM such as AEM, Hydra, MoTec, TEC, etc etc etc et all, on a 1.6 manual car, then you should get something like this...
PS, what do Idle Valves alone go for? ;)
