I am tonight. Will report back with results. From the email I got back, sounds like it's pretty fully loaded, minus ABS. Has a dent about the size of a golf ball in the front driver's side fender right above the wheel, no paint chipping though. A paintless dent repair guy could fix it with no problem.

1994 Mazda Miata w/71k miles - $3500 (Inman Park)

1994 Black Mazda Miata with ~71k miles.
ALL new tires, brakes and rotors with less than 2k miles on them
Rear plastic window of convertible top is cracked as shown in picture
Leather seat has minor (typical) cracks in the side as shown in picture

$3,500

Hmmm I thought I was flyin down to Florida for your next car? Although, it is a 94, and it is a 94. Downsidses are it is Black and has a tan interior. Let me know how it goes.

You are if you decide to go that route. I figure 1 daily and 1 project. ;)

well that solves one of the problems, you can just put the black interior into the daily!

I figure no matter what I have will be a project. I figure 2 projects but have at least one road worthy at all times.

I have full access to another black interior too, so I can have both with black interior if I'd like.

Well in all reality I only want 1 project, but I also remember how much I missed driving my car while it was down, so I figure 1 daily Miata with little to no modifications to keep as a back-up for when a project is under way (or for my dad to drive whenever he wants), 1 for a project that gets all the attention, and the van to haul parts around. Good ol van. lol

Yah, I was gonna start another project, but now I'm thinking about something different once the Miata is done. Maybe a 944 turbo ? Maybe a 968? I'd love an RX7 FD LS1... I dunno, the black car is almost done. I just have to decide if I really need bigger brakes, I think I'm gonna drop in a Boss Frog rollbar, and that's about it. Hopefully I'll learn to leave it alone and enjoy it.

The Previa is the ideal parts hauler, it does indeed rock hard.

I am interested in it, I emailed the person, but no email back yet. I live really close to inman park too. Looked at the silver 90 on CL today, drove nicely. He is really firm at 2800 and I wont pay that much for it so I passed.

What's with these luggage racks?!?!? Didn't the silver one referenced ^ have one too?

Friday - you were smart to walk away from that 90. Looked a little rough and price seemed high.

$3500 seems like a good deal for that car considering the low mileage. Get a new top and you'll be good to go! Inman Park is very near me, so let me know if you end up going to look at it. If you come this way, bring the radiator hose and spark plug wires (that is, if you still want to sell them).

Nick, I didn't even see your post since it was almost 6pm when you posted and I left work promptly at 5pm. I did go right by your exit too. One of these days we're going to cross paths successfully.

Report on the car:

Needs a new top due to the rear window. Will also need the drains cleaned out.

The driver's side front fender needs some attention because the owner's neighbor lightly backed into the car. There's a dent and the bumper reinforcement bar thing needs to be straightened or replaced. The impact apparently tweaked the hood hinge because the hood stays up by itself. Other than that, all the body panels are straight and line up well, even that fender. The car needs a good cleaning, but that's about it for the exterior.

Inside, there's a little cracking on the driver's seat, but considering it's age, that's a given. However, the leather on the OEM steering wheel is in amazing shape, which surprised me. Other than the seat, very clean inside.

Maintenance wise the car has always had synthetic oil and the brakes and tires are new. The timing belt is original and has not been changed. The valve cover gasket was seeping, but that's easy to replace. Probably would do the CAS seal too, there was oil back there, and that leads to heater hose failure.

I'm seriously considering it, but I have a few others to consider too. It's a nice car and once cleaned up and a few parts invested into it, it will make a great car for someone. If it hasn't sold later on this week, I may get it.

Congrats! Looks like a heck of a deal. Are you going to autocross it on Sunday?
