shocks>springs at handling ride issues, a lowering spring will bounce more if you put it on the same shock you have.

Tire Rack is currently selling Koni stuff at 25%off, Koni yellows are $500 a set, Koni coilovers are $1050. Expect to pay $450 for Illuminas, and $350 or so for KYB AGX, both current low prices on Ebay. Seperate springs range from $130 for Apex to around $200 for H & R, $399 for Ground Control coilovers that allow you to use high quality shocks as coilover units. $750 for KYB AGX and Ground Control coilovers is about a good setup on the "cheap". Used stuff occasionally shows here and at Miata.net. Good Luck.

Keep in mind, they look to be 'out of stock' or 'special order' for some of the NA Konis.

What year is your car. I have some 91 stock springs that are lower than the 94-97 springs. The will lower the car about 1/2 ".
