On one hand I wonder how bad ebay can screw up a metal bar, on the other I know how infamous no-name ebay parts are for just not working

Yeah... could be good, could be bad. Couldn't find anything from searching other forums for them, so no helpful reviews.

For $40 more you get the trusted name of Jackson Racing, RB or H&R... I dont see the point in risking the $$$ on a no-name when the name brands are not that much more.

^^ yeah if you search for RB or Eibach sway bars on eBay they don't cost much more than those. eBay is still cheap when you buy brand name stuff!

Buy the FM sways, front and rear are $195, and they are excellent. Why take a chance on buying crap.

Some people just buy front sways and take the rears off, I've heard Miatas handle better without them but I have no idea why. Anyone want to clear up whether why or not this is true?

Well I'm gonna go for the brand name bars but I've never heard of that before. I've heard that the rear bar makes minimal difference though.

I just want to be able to dial in oversteer in the dry a little better without the car being too loose in the wet. That's why I'm interested in the rear bar in the first place: not for it's own merits but to counter any oversteer a larger front bar might induce.

Usually it boils down to what the car is being used for and personal preference in terms of handling.

Read this thread (m.net I know), but there's some good information in there: Logic behind rear sway removal - MX-5 Miata Forum

Thanks Eric, that's the kind of info I've been researching all morning. Finally something specific to our cars.

I put FM springs and tokico illuminas in my car(a 2002) some time ago, and didnt change the sways.......I found that I cant corner as quickly as I could before, as the car is more prone to oversteer. Should I take the rear off, or just run a bigger front sway and beefier mounts? Cant seem to find any consensus on what would be better for me. Its being driven on the street, and not particularly gently.
