When we went to pick up the EVO our rental car was a Kia Rio, that's not much better :dunno:

That was turd. Slightly hitting the brakes on damp payment locked all four wheels up.

This thing can't spin a tire when wet and the brakes arent great, no ABS in a car that lumbering and heavy.

It's a brilliant idea though, give the guy a PT Cruiser, wait a few days for him to kill himself, and don't worry about fixing his car.

^^ Good call.

I know of some good train tracks you can jump in PTC. We jumped my rental Mazda3 when the Honda was getting worked on.

Loser Cruiser

Had a Chevy HHR rental when I went to Phoenix with my dad.... That thing was embarrassing....

My last one was a G6. Not terrible but I'll skip on it next time. For reference for anyone making their own rental, not just being handed one by a repair shop or dealership rental counter.... go to Alamo or National. You get to pick your own car. Of course they are still rental cars and won't be something fabulous but at least you get to choose how much your rental will suck.

I own and drive a car typicaly found in rental car lots. I always see pontiac vibes or toyota matrix in the rental car fleets (well until the latest recall fiasco with Toyota).

On another note but PT cruiser related. Its amazing how cheap you can get a PT Cruiser. There are like 10 billion of them listed on Autotrader for like next to nothing. Even a few with the SRT4 engine in them. I always find that funny when looking at cheap cars how many of them are PT Cruisers.

To your previous question in another thread, hooking up with a tranny may or may not make you gay, but driving a PT Cruiser does! :)

...this coming from a Miata driver

The more you hate it, that harder you drive it.

Best rental car- Tie between a 350Z and a Volvo S60 2.4 Turbo (Volvo was faster...esp when the wastegate line was disconnected)

Worst- 08 Sentra with CVT transmission. You can't neutral dump a CVT... nor does going from D to R do much at any speed. They don't take kindly to mud either.

Snap!! Well the good news is the Cruiser might finally be the vehicle I've been needing to pickup that exhaust. Think it'll fit?

Not yet. I want to though. I've only logged one rental, 2,000 air miles and 7 hotel nights this year so far... I'm slacking!

If it doesn't, I've offered to get it for you with the van on numerous occasions.

Up in the Air is a great movie. Hey Drew Congrats! The cruiser means they didn't total your car!!! Worst rental, while my BMW 540i is in the shop for like the fourth time...Dodge Neon. It didn't even have a cup holder for cryin out loud. Best rental, theJaguar XKR that I rented whenever i went to see my daughter in San Diego. Proof to my Ex-wife that my divorce attorney was better than hers.

Hey Drew Congrats! The cruiser means they didn't total your car!!!

Not necessarily. I had a rental as soon as my last car went into the shop, while they decided to total it or not, and up until I received the check for the car because they totaled it.
That being said, I don't think that they're going to total his car.

"I'll guarantee that nothing exciting, vibrant, dynamic, new, creative, hopeful or beneficial in any way to humanity has ever been done, thought of or driven to in that drab, dreary, entirely beige, willfully awful pile of misery."

+10 to whoever recognizes that quote (which easily applies to the Cruiser)
