this guy kept messing with me in traffic on buford highway. whatever we line up by this qt we take off. damn man that thing jumped on me so hard. idk man i got to 4th gear i was like **** it man theres no point. he beat me by like 7-8 car lengths. i diddnt even know what it was i just saw that toyota symbol i come home got on the internet its a 2010 toyota venza.

185 hp 4 cylinder comes in either ff or 4wd drivetrain

or an optional

268 hp v6 also comes in either ff or 4wd. i hope i raced the v6 i would feel even worse if i lost that badly to a 4 cylinder suv.

7-8 car lengths man wtf. i looked crazy shifting all these gears and making all that noise when he just sat in his nice heated/leather wrapped throne and relentlessly accelerated away from me with my dignity.

that's what pisses me off badly about miatas. There were several occaisions like that when i wanted to throw rocks at my car.

It's not that the Toyota was even slightly quick, it's that Miatas make Civics seem stupid fast.

Yeah, he was spraying in a brand new car...lol...

Civics are still quick with a mild D series in them. (Weight depending)

Go FI , supercharged or turbo and regain your lost manhood.

I've looked at that thing. Bleck! Take your loss as a small price to pay to avoid owning it.

I would rather have Chlamydia than a Venza

hell automatic suvs can be quick off the line i can pull off the line next to a 2jz supra in my pathfinder up to about 35 40 mph. back when my pathy was my only ride i would upset folks all the time at barret with redlight races. it a quick beast for what it is with 3 ppl my junk and sound sys. i almost turbo'd it instead of my miata

Meet that same guy in the mountains... and he will NEVER be able to catch you!!! Miata's are NOT straight line / drag racing cars. If thats what you really want, if you are a stop light to stop light racer... you bought the wrong car, go buy a old Mustang, Camaro or Challenger.

Nah its not far. I drove from Fort Myers, FL once or twice a year for the past several years just to drive the Smoky Mountain roads... thats far. Now I live an hour and a half away! I think it super close. So I get to go on any given weekend. I just make an entire day out of a mountain run. Head up around 8am get home about 6 or so. I run for about 400 miles. Once the roads clear, I will be heading up again and will let everyone know if anyone cares to tag along.

400 miles!?!? Quick drag races on the way back from work can be conveniently fun as well.I'd ride out with y'all but where exactly do ya go?

All over... here are a couple of tracks from recent runs... The middle one is tough to read as I didn't convert it from the GPS map to Google map. But that will give you an idea.

400 is the max amount of miles I can do. While I dont drive recklessly fast while up there I drive what I call, "spirited". :P 400 miles of "spirited" driving is exhausting. Not to mention I am 6'1 so I have to get my big *** out of that tiny car after that many hours of driving.
