96 miata defroster diagram

I'm looking for help on the wiring , and location of the relay for the rear defroster. I've added the switch and fuse block. Can't find harnesss connection for the relay, also on cabin fuse block is a location for a 15 amp fuse labeled defrost , is this required along with fuse block in trunk? Thanks in advance for any info.

I believe the relay is to be located in the trunk, behind the trim in the latch area IIRC.

Wow, Thanks found it. An thoughts about the cabin fuse block with an open slot labeled 15 amp defrost. I dont have the wiring diagrams to see if its needed as well. Thanks again on relay location never thought to even look there.

Cant advise you on the fuse. I am better at tearing stuff apart. :lol:

IIRC you do need that fuse to be in place. You can test the system, hit the defrost button, if no indicator lights illuminates in the cluster, it's not working yet so add the fuse.

well i tried it today it lights up in the cluster, checked voltage at terminals and its works with switc.h. Not sure why slot in the cabin fuse block labeled defrost but if anybody got a wiring diagram I'd be curious. Thanks again mentalman.
