Restaurant.com sells gift cards to restaurants at a big discount, IE get a $25 card for $10. But right now if you enter the promo code "santa", you get 80% off your total.
Go to restaurant.com, type in your zip code, and pick out some restaurants you want to eat at. Note that most restaurants require you spend a minimum of $35 or $50 on your meal. However, you buy the $25 gift cards for only $2-3 with all the discounts, so a $35 meal ends up costing $12-13. :)

Enjoy

Saw the title and thought it was about something different. I clicked it since I wondered what that would be doing in this section. lol

Ben, Have you ever used these gift cards? It sounds like a great deal, but it seems a little too good to be true.

The two that I would buy are 'out of stock'.

McCray's. Mmmmm. But to me the point is to find new restaurants to go to. I picked up 4 gift cards from the site yesterday, at restaurants that normally charge >$20 per entree. 3 I'd not heard of, the 4th was Shogun which is a chain Japanese Hibachi place. We'll probably try it tonight--our customary tab there is $50, so it would work out being half price when said and done.

Also got 2 Willies, Park Cafe, and Sweetfire Lodge which is a bad *** steak house in Gainesville.

I've used the site before to get $25 gift cards for $10, and never had a problem. Never used a promotion code though before yesterday, but I doubt it will be an issue.

Thanks for sharing Ben. I've used that site in the past, but kind of forgot about it. Some deals on there are better than others, but with the 80% discount that makes them all pretty competitive. I just spent $15 and got a boat load.

For anyone question it they do work. I have been a server long enought to have plenty of those gift cards across my hand.

A few things....
-- check what days they can be used, sometimes they are only good Monday-Thursday
--check to is if they don't work on some foods.. Aka someplace can't discount/comp alcohol so any drinks don't count to the total.

Is the one cert per month enforced much? I'm tempted to grab like 4 of the Shogun $50 for $4 a piece.

I did not know they had a 1 per month cap, don't see it in the fine print? I bought multiples too. :dunno:

What is this one cent per month you speak of. Never heard of it but I did work at a mid grade little sportsbar.

It would be really tough for them to enforce the "one per month" rule.

It's in the terms and conditions.

RIGHT now, the promo code for 80% off is CHEER - and after you finish your purchase, they send you an email with a code for a free $10 certificate...

I just printed one for my trip to PCB tomorrow.

One way or the other, you pay.
