Hey, i know i heard a few of you talking about getting about getting deals on rollbars or something. Well im now in the market for a bar, and the one i want is a harddog hardcore hardtop double diagonal bar. Do you guys have anyhting? Thanks

Dont know anything about solo I or their requirements.

I've used mine for auto-x, a SCCA PDX at Road Atlanta, TGP track days and even took it to the drag strip... all with no problems.

IIRC, the boss frog dual hoop is scca approved. and it WILL save your life just as good as and hard dog. they look pretty cool too.

fwiw I didn't want to pay the $170 shipping on my cage so I drove to bethania garage and picked it up. I don't think its too far from where you guys are, especially athens people. They're located in north carolina. I had a really awesome time going there and picking it up and being able to ask them questions about the install face to face.

google maps says: lol guess I was off a little, 4 hours and 55 minutes. I thought it was more south. it was a 3 hour drive from knoxville.

ah come on, no big deal. I drive from nashville to knox all the time in my ITB'd miata. The throttle cable spring is 2x stiffer than stock, and no cruise. And on part throttle the pedal can shake my ankle apart if I get it in the right position :P

I drove to Biloxi, MS in one shot in the summer to pick up my hardtop. No cruise or a/c. And the clutch line blew and I fixed it while there.

Moral of the story: "You can do it!"

I could bring someone along i guess, to switch out, I just got back from arkansas, had to go through nashville and pick up my sister took 14 hours one way. I might drive up there, well see though, it would have to be during spring break of some other holliday, becasue i work and have school during the week

you won't be able to take a miata if you take another person. The rollbar won't fit in its stock position enough (without modding the car) to fit it there for the drive. if you took a miata, it'd have to be with no passenger seat. Howver, if you rolled back the back shelf carpeting, pulled out the sheet metal, then trim the metal as needed, it probably would fit.

maaybe. It definitely wouldn't fit in a 300zx I've never seen the inside of a 280 hatch though. now that I think about it, I might be imagining it to be bigger than it is. I took a van there with the back seats removed, I could have probably fit 5 or 6 cages in there.

Yeah def. drive, I love doing road trips in my Miata, and cruise control is for girls ;) first time I ever used it was when me and Mary went to Alachua and I was driving her car some, I was like WTF....LOL
