Help me pick a color!

I plan on picking up Joe's '92 NA very soon and having the car resprayed by the end of the year if things go as planned. Since the motor is already out of the car, I'm going to have everything sprayed; jams and the engine bay.

I just need help picking a color for the car.

For those that know what my goals are, keep those hush-hush for now.

This is what I was kind of thinking. It's called Autumn Gold off the Exige which they only made 1 or 2 in this color. I don't expect everyone to like the color I choose but I'm really waiting to see what Nick has to offer as we both tend to like the "odd" color cars. :lol:

I had the seafoam green on my 5 series, it was interesting because it looked grey in some light, green or even a shade of blue in others.

Yeah, just don't look at TVR colors....you'll hate life for not being able to obtain such cars here in the states.

You need something that's going to fit the character of the car, it's going to be something very distinct. Just to throw out a couple of colors:

Whats the idea for the car? track car? if so something out there is the only way to go lol. I really like the color mike posted with the scions, big fan. Also the orange on the saleen mustang. The orange in the GTI just screams a little too much duke of hazzard "weee doggie wooo hooo" for a miata :lol: so the scion copper or mustang burnt orange gets my vote.

Honestly, I think it should be a more classical colour on an NA miata. I don't think the lines are aggressive enough for something really stand out and ostentatious. Even the most aggressive of Miata's don't look really mean.

But if you're going for the show car look then I can see what you're doing. Maybe even your old S2k blue.

Some of these colors look good on the cars posted but would look like straight up RICE on a little Miata.

That green on that E36 looks cool though, I like that and think it'd look good. The Scion rice color looks horrible on ANYTHING lol.

Yep its Viper Green. One of my favorite cars was a car a guy put together locally. It was a 72 RSR clone with a 993 engine.

I know frog green isnt the real color name but when I first saw the pic ot the RSR in that color I called it the frog car and I think it's ugly as **** except it somehow still works on a porsche.

The orange off of the Exige is great, but I'm not sure how it would look on a Miata. You would need a lot of black accent to keep it from looking too gay.

That blue is a great color. The Pcar up top is a good color too but my feeling is that color would get old after a while. Always keep in mind the color you pick is permanent until you paint again or sell it.
If the color is too "unique" it may be tough to sell it.

At the end of the day its your car though. Go with what moves you.:D
