Any particular year, or just a generic kit?

It's a kit that's designed to replace a 9005 bulb (plug and play, without splicing).

Stupid question I guess, but what years if any take this bulb? Will it fit my 99 is what I'm asking?

Not unless you have a 9005 housing or modify the 9005 bulb to fit in the 9006 housing (which is easy to do).

But then you have HIDs in the wrong housing. The light scatter will be horrible and you'll blind other drivers.

All depends on the housing. :D

As for legitimate street use, yes...
it would require a low beam and separate high beam housing (w/ projector lenses).

Yeah, I was talking about the 99-00 headlight housing that OGF was considering using the HIDs in. :)

Someone might want to tell that guy he's losing his windshield banner. lol
