I'll be there Sat and maybe Sunday.

Is the BoR a trophy event or is it just fun runs?

Ive never done an actual scca autocross, just track days. You only get 4 runs?

Yeah 4 runs and check the schedule to find out when you run. It depends on your class if you run in the morning or afternoon. If you never competed at an autocross it will benefit you to be in the novice class, not required but suggested. I believe ARSCCA also recommends it.

ive driven in private autocrosses and had a blast, I just find it hard to swallow spending a whole afternoon for 4 runs

Part of the excitement in autocross, for me anyways, is the competition. When you look at the how close the points are in the Championship series and winning or loosing is by a hundredth of a second... That's exciting! Also look at the series we are running on MX5ATLANTA were are all within a point or two of each other. This Sat event will decide the winner. Its gunna be a nail biter.

I ran an entire season two years ago with no one to compete with in my class and it certainly does change things. It was no where near as fun and kind of a drag really. I have to have someone to compete with on a regular basis. So coming out for just one or two events would certainly make it less thrilling.

You'll only be there a few hours, not the whole day. When i've run morning, I get there about 8am and leave by noon. On afternoons, I'll get there about 10:30 and leave about 4pm.

Last year they were running events blitzkrieg-style..almost on the verge of chaos (on TeamSOLO's side), but events were shorter on overall time. Now, with the longer schedule, events are more relaxed :)

I'll be at #10, but i'm on the fence about CoC/BoR as I was under the impression that it was all one entry fee..not $30 per day. Which puts me in a pickle becuase i'm only 3pts behind 1st place and there is a possibility of taking first. In that case, i'd want to run CoC. I know I can't be competitive in CoC because of the PAX for SSM and how well my car is(n't) prepped. Probably the same for BoR since they are using PAX for that too. Suckage. But I like going out and getting the seat time and I honestly want to have someone who has been "in the game" to drive my car and tell me what they think of it's setup.

YAY for seat time!

Regarding having someone to drive your car... ARSCCA representation at Nationals shows we have some crazy talented people at our events, any one of those would be a good source! I don't won't to volunteer them but Tom S. and Kevin would be a great source for set up. But you prolly already know that. :P

Yes , The Pts 10 is 4 runs . But the CoC/BOR is 6 runs (3 in morning and 3 in the afternoon) and trophies .
I am jacked for pts 10 , Kevin 696.6 pts and Tom S 696.6pts in CSP , we are seperated by .07 of a sec. This is it for the class. But, I think the car can compete in Coc and BOR also so this should be fun either way.
AND BONUS MX-5 CUP , way open for that title!!!!!!

That's exactly why I quit, soooo not worth the money and time you spend to get like two minutes of seat time, that's just me though.

If you could run and leave that'd be great.

Ok I've seen enough autocross vs track arguments to see where this can go. Let's keep it about Saturday.
