It's a bug that eats the fish's tongue and then acts as the tongue... at least it is nice enough to hang around. I think...

Anybody ever heard of bot flies? ;) I've seen a few squirrels around here with them. Fortunately they're not like the ones in South America that go for humans.:puke:

Was never much of a fresh water fisherman. I grew up in Jax, FL with ocean, and the St. John's river being salt. I've even got a friend who is a "pro tour" at lake lanier and I've never gone out with him.:dunno:

I MREMEER atory about abot fly that layed and egg in some fat dudes stomach area and he treated it liek a pet for a fe w months...no ****. It was on some shoe likr "eaten a live" or something on either SCI or Disc channel sometime ago. Finally it startyd to hurt and he went to the ER.

When I went to Liberia in college,another kid got a bot fly in his forehead and it was fierce.looked just like those pics.He cried the last 2 days of it all,the doctors said they couldnt do anything for him.

There are a ton of bot fly vids on youtube...pretty nasty stuff. I think I'd rather see limbs torn off than that kind of thing...especially in person. But it's like a train wreck, sometimes I just have to watch those vids. I'm weird I guess.
