Steve and I are probably going on Friday. Definitely on Saturday though.Would you mind throwing those shocks in your trunk and dropping them by? I'm barely out of your way, you don't even get on the highway to get to road atlanta from my house. Just drop them in the driveway is fine. Thanks.

I love how they have bada$$ mobile garages/pit areas that are nicer then most people's garages.

the peugeot "tent" was HUGE, it was way bigger than our house. This is the only photo that somewhat shows the scale of the structure:

It's been what, almost 4 hours of red flag? That sucks. Really glad Jenn and I decided to skip out this year.

It was unfortunate that the race was called short due to heavy rain. We got back to the track around ~3ish from grabbing lunch and waiting until 6:30ish before deciding to call it quits and head back.
We had an interesting journey on our way to the track this morning dealing with a jackhole swerving through traffic and cutting people off (I honestly don't know how he hadn't already clipped another car) in his Pathfinder. Sure enough, we had front row seats to the driver losing control of the vehicle by over-correcting a mistake and sling-shot himself into the median. There's more to the story but it's too much to type. Anyways, here is a picture of the SUV right after it happened when we waited for the police to show up to give our statements. I made sure to let the officer that assisted us about his driving style.

Then while we were waiting for the weather to clear up, LB and I decided to take the Evo on an excursion through some mud. I thought I people were going to complain about me doing this but instead, I had people there yelling cheering me on to keep going so I did. Now I'll be spending about $10 at the pressure washer cleaning off the chassis. I wish I would have taken a picture of the aftermath but it was pouring rain and was washing the mud off but here is what it looked like after one run. You can only imagine how it looked after 5 runs.
I received numerous compliments on how good the car looked wearing mud - it's proper attire. :D

I love Evo's. I was wondering how the event went today with all the rain. My drive from Athens to Atlanta today was one of the toughest I've done, it was ridiculous, hydroplaning on the highway is terrifying.

Does look good like that. :)
Now you can do what all the rednecks in our area do with their trucks, leave it on there for about a month.

I had a blast. It was fun to go around the track even though it was just a parade lap. It was my gf's first experience to go to a race and she got to go on the track, see a few wrecks and see some exciting cars. I'll post my pics later.
Friday was hot Saturday rainy, still fun time with friends. glad i went!
