It's interesting to say the least. I'd like to see it in a different color.

Not a fan.
It needs more substantial redesigning to successfully transform it into a coupe. I'd still take the hatch.

it just seems like the hatch with way less head room. the seats should be deeper and the inside should wrap around the occupants a little better in a coupe version.

I agree. The lines of the roof dont work with the lines of the body.
Its fugly.

There is some historical precedent with this. Although not terribly practical. Perhaps if you took a couple inches out below the beltline it would look right. But you can't with modern cars, too much stuff there. An Austalian by the handle of MadMatt makes a fiberglass top for the classic Mini that is similar, but much better proportions.

I do like how they resolve the B pillar/roof line - but yeah, shirt doesn't match the pants. ;)

the mini has been completely ruined, they should've quit production again when the old body ran out.

give it a small spoiler, paint the whole thing (including the wheels) black, and deeper seats and i'll drive the **** out of it. really like the design.
then again i also think the nissan micra is a bada$$ car.

weak sauce. I'll sell you my mini for 26k, no tax, with less than 5k miles, and still under factory warranty & maintenance.. It's a coupe.... 2 doors, but 4 seats and it looks good, lol.

Just judging it from pure style, I think it looks pretty sharp.

Oh look, now it's an ugly AND incredibly unreliable car.

I think it looks tough, but it completely loses one of the best features of the car: the roomy hatch area.

Wait...minis were reliable at some point? lol I agree foo the car is garbage now

The original Minis were more reliable than the trash that BMW is churning out now.
I swear i've seen **** go wrong on a new Mini that would last a lifetime on most other cars. Transmissions that automagically disassemble their insides after 60k miles, convertible tops that stop working in mid-operation after 20k miles, motor mounts that explode all over the engine bay after 30k miles, motors that sound more like a Rabbit diesel after 40k miles... I could go on and on over the stupid crap that these cars do, but I can't be bothered to waste that much time to beat a dead horse.
The only reason, ONLY reason I would drive a Mini is if it were leased and under a full warranty. But even then I'd be getting the short end of the stick because of how much time it would spend in the service department.

well cool idea, but just off to me.
But it does make me want some of the hot hatches they have overseas.
